LUIS DeLUNA, age 79, of Joppa, MD, died on October 15, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Laredo, TX, he was the son of the late Luis DeLuna and the late Maria L. Palacios. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he retired from the military after 30 years of service and worked for the postal service in Nebraska for ten years. He enjoyed fishing and could make anything crafty.

Mr. DeLuna is survived by his wife Geraldine Ann Martinez-DeLuna of Joppa, Maryland; two sons, Daniel DeLuna and his wife, Karen, and Michael DeLuna, all of Nebraska; two daughters, Merry Scheef and her husband, Robert, of Papillion, Nebraska and Christine Fladby and her husband, Bob, of Nebraska; two brothers; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a stepdaughter, Catherine M. Romans and her husband, Dennis, of Edgewood, Maryland; stepson, Roberto “Bob” Martinez and his wife, Lisa, of Aberdeen, Maryland; five step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in 1998 by his first wife Anna.

Contributions may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church, 8030 Bradshaw Rd., Bradshaw, MD 21021.
