Loretta Thompson

Loretta Thompson, age 71, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on July 26, 2009 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace. Born in Havre de Grace, she was the daughter of the late Delbert Romy and Janice Mary Rogers McCoy and wife, for 49 years, of the late Robert Louis Thompson Sr. who died in 2004. A lifelong resident of Havre de Grace, she was a member of Rock Run United Methodist Church. She was a school bus driver for John Archer School for 25 years, where she was very involved with the students. She enjoyed raising horses and her life was her children and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her sons, Robert L. Thompson Jr. of Port Deposit, MD and Michael A. Thompson of Havre de Grace, MD; daughters, Stephanie A. Anderson of Centralia, MO and Patricia L. Thurn of Havre de Grace, MD; brother, Ronnie McCoy of California; sisters, Nancy Carlisle of Havre de Grace, MD, Betty Bowles of Arkansas, Margo DeBaugh of Texas, and Joan Pack of California; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Danny McCoy.

Pallbearers will be Robert Thompson Jr., Michael Thompson, Rodney Anderson, Calvert Thurn, Heath Thompson, and Danny Bumba.
