Linda Sue Tharp

Linda Sue Tharp, age 69, of Street, Maryland passed away on November 19, 2022 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Croswell) Ward and wife of Noah Tharp.

Linda was gifted at loving people. She never knew a stranger. She wanted others to know they were seen and loved by Jesus. Linda loved babies and children. She served as a children's pastor, childcare provider, taught for years as a preschool teacher and sewed quilts and blankets for so many little ones. But Linda was never more in her element than when she was with her grandchildren. She was such a creative and fun “Gamma.”

Linda will be remembered for her love. She gave to anyone in need and made so many sacrifices for others. She loved her daughters deeply and was always their “mama bear” in life. Linda’s favorite love was Noah. They were truly best friends and would be celebrating fifty married years together this coming January.

In addition to her husband Linda is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Ann (Matthew) Wascom, Amber Lynn Tharp, Amanda Noel (Nathan) Jourdan; grandchildren, Noah Wascom, Aaron Wascom, Eden Jourdan, Jeremiah Jourdan.
