Larry S. Strausser

Larry S. Strausser, age 74, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on October 22, 2021, at his home after a long battle with cancer. Born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Edwin Frank and Margaret (Stephens) Strausser and husband of M. Lynne (Roemer) Strausser. A proud veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps [“Semper Fi”], Larry served his country in Vietnam. He worked as a Correctional Officer for Baltimore County, loved sports, and was an avid NHL Washington Capitals fan. He spent many afternoons coloring in adult coloring books while listening to and singing his favorite Eagles songs. He found traveling to the beach relaxing and healing. Larry is survived by his wife, M. Lynne Strausser; daughters, Dana Leanne Lares (Peter David Lares) and Jill Marie Healey (John Davies Healey, III); grandchildren, Madison Avery Healey (fiancé Zachary Brandon Stripling), Graham Davies Healey and Gabriel Pierce Lares; great-grandson, Greyson Oliver Stripling; sisters, Suzanne Lee Fuller and Judith Ann Strausser; and several nieces and nephews.
