Kenneth Elwyn Wessel

KENNETH ELWYN WESSEL, age 78, of Edgewood, MD, died on September 15, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Port Huron, MI, he was the son of the late Joseph Valentine Wessel and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Wagner. A resident of Harford County for 43 years, he worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground for 20 years and was an Army veteran serving in the Korean conflict. He was a recreational vehicle enthusiast and enjoyed NASCAR racing, golf, tennis, and pool. He held a license as a Master Barber and was also a master marksman.

Mr. Wessel is survived by his wife of 51 and a half years, Margarete Preisser Wessel of Edgewood, MD; one son, Joseph B. Wessel of Louisville, KY; one daughter, Sue Ann Emberton of Abingdon, MD; two brothers, Phillip Wessel of Portland, OR and Robert Wessel of Port Huron, MI; and three sisters, Phyllis Baker of Winter Park, FL, Diane Wessel of Port Huron, MI, and Valerie Jacobson of Kenai, AK.
