Kenneth E. Norton, Sr.

KENNETH E. NORTON, SR, age 72, of Abingdon, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on January 14, 2004. Born in Havre de Grace, he was the son of the late Howard Authur and Viola Serena Hollingsworth Norton. He had retired from Harford County after 25 years of service as a meter reader and a mechanic. He was a member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church where he was active in church organizations. He was an avid gardener and bowler. He served his country in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Norton is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mildred R. Harris Norton; two sons, Kenneth E. Norton, Jr. of Reisterstown; Donald E. Williams, Jr. of Abingdon; five daughters, Diane Williams of Edgewood; Joyce Parker of Edgewood; Sharon Pankey of Aberdeen; Shirl Norton-James of Texarkana, Texas; Sherry Norton of Belcamp; three sisters, Louise Harris of Abingdon; Lucille Buchanan of Jarrettsville; Mildred Norton of Baltimore; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Thomas Harris, Melvin Buchanan, Larry Norton, Jerry Harris, Calvin Harris, and Darryl Harris.
