Karen L. Hylock

Karen L. Hylock, age 63, of Darlington, Maryland passed away on January 6, 2022 at Franklin Square Hospital in Rosedale, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Grace (Deaver) Hylock. She was a graduate of Venable High School in Baltimore. As one of 10 children, Karen loved her family very much, and she especially loved   caring for her many nieces and nephews.  She was a devoted caregiver to her father and mother for many years prior to their passing.  Karen loved to cook, enjoyed listening to music from the 70's and 80's, watching classic movies and celebrating all the holidays throughout the year, especially Christmas, Easter and Halloween, making each one special for her family. 

Karen is survived by her sisters, Edna (Ray) Derringer, Bernadette Hylock, Sally (Rob) McFaul, Cheryl (Frederick) Cucco; brothers, Edward (Deborah) Hylock, Jr., Robert (Zari) L. Hylock, Michael (Jeanette) A. Hylock, Kenneth (DeeAnn) R. Hylock; most trusted caregiver and BuddyPal, Amanda (Darrell) Loudermilk; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy (Earl David) L. West, and her niece, Allison M. Hylock. 

The family will be holding a private memorial service and interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland.
