John Thomas Caldwell, Jr.

John Thomas Caldwell, Jr., age 81, of Fallston, Maryland passed away on December 10, 2022 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland surrounded and comforted by family. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of John Thomas Caldwell, Sr. and Mary (Kelley) Caldwell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Bel Air American Legion Post #39 and the VFW in Rosedale. He retired in 1989 after 20 years of service as a truck driver for AAA Transport. John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, baking cookies and pies. John loved going to the beach with his family, fishing, and working in the yard. He also loved traveling, especially to Ireland. John made wooden reindeer sets that you can still see in front yards around Fallston during Christmas time. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, Joyce.

John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Caldwell; son, John Thomas Caldwell, III, his daughter in-law, Carolyn; daughter, Tracey L. Chason, his son in-law, Scott; grandchildren, Savanna Caldwell, Brianna Caldwell, Samantha Caldwell, Seth Chason and Zachary Chason.
