Jim "Bear" Townsley

January 3, 1955 — January 18, 2015

Jim "Bear" Townsley, 60, of Nottingham, MD, passed away on January 18, 2015. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William Parlett Townsley Sr. and Lida Cassandra Ady Townsley. He was a member of Carpenters Union 101 for 35 years and the Cub Hill Golf Club. He liked to spend time with family and friends and was a Bluegrass fan. He enjoyed picking his banjo, playing guitar, golfing and camping.

Mr. Townsley is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathy M. Bayless Townsley; son, Timothy D. Maloney and wife, Meghan, of Perry Hall; brothers, Bill Townsley Jr. of Rosedale and Michael Townsley and wife, Colleen, of Nebraska; sister, Lida Damien and husband, David, of Arkansas; grandchildren, Conner and Paige Maloney; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 8219 Town Center Drive, Baltimore, MD 21236 or the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or Angel Park, White Marsh Recreation Council, 9033 Honeygo Blvd., Perry Hall, MD 21128 and make checks payable to Perry Hall Rec Council c/o Angel Park.
