Jeannette R. Powers

Jeannette R. Powers, 93, of Joppa, MD passed away on January 24, 2015 at Lorien Riverside. Born in Baltimore, she is the daughter of the late John and Aniela Szkrech Jaworski and wife of the late William J. Powers Jr. A homemaker, she attended St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bradshaw, was past president of Catholic Daughters of America, belonged to the Golden Age Club of Joppa and the Homemakers Club. She was a big Orioles fan and was even named Most Valuable Fan on May 6, 2007. She also enjoyed Bingo and word search puzzles.

Mrs. Powers is survived by her sons, Phillip A. Powers and wife, Janet, of Joppa, William J. Powers III (Buddy) and wife, Shirley, of Bel Air and Gary Powers and wife, Marian, of Camden-Wyoming, DE; daughters, Nina Smith and husband, Frank, of Indianapolis, IN and Linda Spear and husband, Michael, of Joppa; brother, Dave Jaworski of Tennessee; sisters, Bernice Kuhne of Perry Hall, Teresa Price of Baltimore and Til Williams of Randallstown; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, as well as 3 brothers, and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Powers, Jon Smith, Brian Wilbur, Laura Spear, Dylan and Erika Abshire .
