Jean Simmons

JEAN SIMMONS, age 62, of Aberdeen, died on November 27, 2005 at her home. Born in Doran, VA, she was the daughter of the late Winfred Ramey Helbert and Arcie Viola Shelton. She was a factory worker in paint and welding who enjoyed working in her yard, collecting dolls and silk-screening. She loved her grandchildren and family.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband, Hobert Simmons of Aberdeen, whom she married on April 2, 1960; one daughter, Dreama Cooper, and her husband Robert, of Aberdeen; four brothers, Don Helbert, and his wife Jean, of Cleveland, OH, Billy Helbert, and his wife Susie, of Cleveland, OH, Jerry Riley, and his wife Barbara, of West Lake, OH, and Terry Riley, and his wife Becky, of Shelby, OH; three sisters, Geneva Short, and her husband Hurley, of Aberdeen, Juanita Chambers, and her husband Sherman, of Richlands, VA, and Frances Sizemore, and her husband Paul, of Cleveland, OH; and two grandchildren, Heather René Mumpower, and Robert Cody Cooper, both of Aberdeen.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Carl Helbert.
