Ina Jean Buchanan

Ina Jean Buchanan, age 74, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on February 5, 2023 at Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of Howard McMillan Sr. and Reba (Bryant) McMillan. Ina loved many sports, including basketball, football, and horse racing. She enjoyed cooking for her friends and family, completing crossword puzzles and playing the lottery. Her biggest passion was her family. She cherished any time she got to spend with them, especially during the holidays. She was best known as Granny, by her grandchildren. She was always protective of her children and grandchildren.

Ina is survived by her daughters, Sharrone Buchanan and Sharon Buchanan, both of Edgewood; son, Darick (Betsy) Buchanan of Forest Hill; grandchildren, Myles Buchanan, Mariah Buchanan (fiancé Bill Taylor); sisters, Lois (Havon) Birchen, Shirley Tittle and Tamara Lee; brothers, Howard Franklin McMillan, Jr. and James L. McMillan; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, John Albert Harris Jr., brother, Louis McMillan and sister, Vetra Shaw.
