Imogene W. Barberry

Imogene Walls Barberry, 98 years old, was called home by the Lord on March 27, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted Walls and Della Walls Bishop, her husband Theodore O. Barberry, her brother John Walls, and sisters Ernestine Walls Noe, Lee Walls Segraves and Judith Walls Cantler. Gene, as she was called, was much beloved by her large family. Her survivors include her sisters, Esther Walls Henry and Iris Walls Taylor, and children John Douglas Barberry (Teresa), Nancy Barberry Hyde (Gene), Theodore O. Barberry Jr., and L. Michael Barberry. Grandchildren include Heath Barberry, Jessica Barberry, Allison Hyde, Alicia Hyde Spencer, Lorraine Barberry Stuchinsky, and Patrick Barberry. Gene also has 8 great grandchildren.

Gene was a hard working business woman for many decades. With the help of her sons, she took over Barberry Brothers, Inc. and Aldino Sod Farms, Inc. sod and landscaping businesses after the death of her husband.

She was a member of the Methodist faith and attended Dublin United Methodist Church in Street, Maryland. Arrangements have been made by McComas Family Funeral Home of Bel Air, Maryland. Due to Covid there will be an outdoor gravesite service to be held on April 1, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Bel Air Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests that memorials be in the form of donations in the name of Imogene Walls Barberry to either your favorite charity or to the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital at StJude.org.
