Howard I. Carroll

HOWARD I. CARROLL, age 79, of Abingdon, MD, died on August 30, 2007 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Irvine and Bertha Linton Carroll. A Navy veteran, he served our country during WWII. He worked as an engineer for the U.S. Government and loved to golf and fish.

Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sherry R. Carroll of Abingdon, MD; four children, Robert Carroll and his wife, Nancy, of Troutdale, VA, Amy Nash and her husband, Henry, of Aberdeen, MD, Laurie McParland and her husband, Kevin, of Olney, MD, and David Carroll and his wife, Patricia, of Austinville, VA; seven grandchildren, India Carroll of MD, Laurel Quigley of Asheville, NC, Samuel Smith of Glen Burnie, MD, Daniel Smith of Aberdeen, MD, Megan McParland of Olney, MD, Jessica Carroll and Paul Carroll, both of Austinville, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant granddaughter, a brother, two sisters, and a stepfather.
