Helen M. Ryan

Helen M. Ryan, age 78, of Abingdon, MD, died on September 15, 2010 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in Joppa, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Carroll and Anna Augusta Benser Ryan. She drove a school bus for over 30 years for Harford County Public Schools and had also been employed for many years at the former Blue Bell Restaurant in Fallston. She loved her cats, and also cooking and baking.

Ms. Ryan is survived by her son, James A. Ryan of Abingdon, MD; brother, Donald R. Ryan of Bel Air, MD; niece, Sandra Gerry of Aberdeen, MD; and brother-in-law, William Rigsby of Joppa, MD. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Charles Ryan, William C. Ryan Jr., and James E. Ryan; and sisters, Florence Creswell, Dorothy Cullum, and Betty Mae Rigsby.
