Hazel M. Bobbitt

Hazel M. Bobbitt, age 91, of Bel Air, MD passed away on March 3, 2019 at her home. Born in Trout, WV, she was the daughter of Samuel D. and Salena Marie (Johnson) Woods and wife of the late Charles L. Bobbitt.

In 1981 Hazel went to work for the Baltimore Orioles, co-managing the Press Lounge for 22 years. She served the MLB press, first at Memorial Stadium and then at Camden Yards. She moved to Forest Hill, MD after the death of her husband. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Fox News, Jeopardy, and the Price is Right. She enjoyed being with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports. In her final years, she lived in her daughter and son-in-law’s home. She will be dearly missed by her family, but they know they will all be reunited one day in Heaven.

Mrs. Bobbitt is survived by daughter, Denise Lozzi and her husband, Vince; two sons, Larry Bobbitt and his wife, Barbara and Jay Bobbitt and his wife, Denise; brother, Haymon Woods; six granddaughters, Heather Hayford, Lauren Bobbitt, Caroline, Leah, and Rachel Lozzi, and Sarah Hayes; three grandsons, Jordan Lozzi, Jay Bobbitt, Jr. and Josh Bobbitt; great-granddaughter, Ava; three great-grandsons, Drew, Mason, and Sean.
