Harry D. Gilbert

Harry D. Gilbert, age 86, of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on October 17, 2022 at his home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Robert Slaughter and Anna (Gilbert) Soul and husband of the late Shirley (Garecht) Gilbert. He was a veteran of the Maryland Army National Guard 29th Division and was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #128 and 29th Division Association Honor Guard. Harry was a semi-truck driver for 50+ years and was an avid hunter.

Harry is survived by his sons, Daniel (Donna) Gilbert and Michael (Fran) Gilbert; daughter, Shelby (Lester) Williams; son-in-law, Bruce Greer; brother, Frank Soul; sister, Mary Ann Blake; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Lynn Greer.
