Harriet M. Schneider

On November 21, 2016 at 12:15 a.m., Harriet Margaret Schneider was reunited with her first love and husband, Edwin Charles Schneider Sr. Born on July 24, 1924, she lived a beautiful and loving life of 92 years. Meeting at a church social and married on May 24, 1942, Mom and Dad were proud parents of Carol Weidman (Phil), Anna Carrigan (Tom), Edwin Schneider Jr. (Marjorie Liss), Mary Schlehr (Michael), Frances Wiland (Raymond), and Maria Whyte (Malcolm). Their love and compassion for family was honored by the addition of 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Harriet will be joining her brothers, Leroy Trageser and Gus Trageser. Harriet leaves her brothers, Bud Trageser and James Trageser, and her sister, Mary Armstrong.

She has given of herself her entire life from being the best wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, to volunteering in hospitals and hospice. She loved to read, play solitaire every morning, watch NCIS, and play scrabble. She also played bridge at the MacFaul Senior Center. Other enjoyments were spending time with her family and eating ice-cream (particularly pralines and cream). She was a beacon of light to everyone she met. Although she will be missed, it is a comfort to all that loved her that she is now with the ones she long loved and together they will continue to give us the guidance that we all need.

With love and honor, she will be carried to her final resting place with her husband by Ray Wiland, Chris Wiland, Tom Carrigan Sr., Tom Carrigan Jr., Tim Carrigan, Michael Schlehr, Christopher Busick, and Malcolm Whyte.
