Grace Kanova Allison Hoffman

GRACE KANOVA ALLISON HOFFMAN, age 93, of Hagerstown, MD, formerly of Edgewood, died on August 17, 2007 at Somerford Assisted Living in Hagerstown, MD. Born in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Walter Landon and Flora Bell Carriger Allison and wife, for 55 years, of the late Alvin Seymour Hoffman. She moved to Edgewood from Dundalk in 1960 and worked at Edgewood Arsenal and Aberdeen Proving Ground from 1962 to 1984 in their cost accounting department. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution in Harford County and Hagerstown. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, and reading.

Mrs. Hoffman is survived by two sons, Keith Hoffman of Hagerstown, MD and Kermit Hoffman of Martinsburg, WV; seven grandchildren, Katie Hoffman Gladhill of Fairfax, VA, Rebekah Hoffman and Alicia Hoffman, both of Hagerstown, MD, Eric Hoffman of Martinsburg, WV, Joseph Hoffman of Hagerstown, Jason Peterson of Chesterfield, VA, and Jessica Peterson of Hagerstown, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren Peterson and Jenna Peterson, both of Chesterfield, VA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Marie Carlton, Juanita Dennis, and Ernestine Allison, and three brothers, George Allison, William Allison, and Robert Allison.
