George Robert Kries

George Robert Kries, age 85, of Abingdon, MD passed away on August 21, 2018 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Percy Reeder and Jesse Roberta (Linthicum) Kries. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army, serving in the infantry during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Joppatowne VFW.

Mr. Kries is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Ann; two daughters, Kimberly Ann and Sharon Lynn Kries; two granddaughters, Sarah Kate Armour and her husband, Brock and Hannah Lemus Kries; great-grandson, Jackson Reeder Armour; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Armour.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Znaimrowski and granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Gallion.
