George Richard Proctor

George Richard Proctor, age 76, of Churchville, Maryland passed away on November 10, 2022 in Churchville, Maryland. Born in Bel Air, Maryland, he was the son of the late Richard and Harriet (Terry) Proctor and husband of 30 years to Kathleen (Zerecker) Proctor. He had a keen financial mind which he used to help take care of people and provide guidance to his entrepreneurial comrades. Dick spent most of his career in banking, ending the last part of his career at MBNA, where he was Senior Vice President. As the Director of the e-Commerce Division, he was responsible for the development of one of the first online banking/websites in early 2000. He was very passionate about golf and the closeness it brought among his golfing companions. He also enjoyed following sports, he recently honed in on his woodworking craft, and he appreciated the times spent playing poker with his close friends. Dick was a family man. He loved his wife, daughters, and their families dearly. He idolized his grandchildren, was a phenomenal father and stepfather, and cherished any time he got to spend with them. From the time his kids were growing up to now, he made it a point to go on family outings, travel worldwide, and vacation at the beach.

In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his daughters, Melissa (David) Posey, Kourtney (fiancé Mychael Gaines) Proctor; stepdaughter, Christine Downin; grandchildren, Isabella, Antonio, Domonic, and Gabriel.
