Gene R. Wood

Gene R. Wood, of Bel Air, MD, died at the age of 79 on November 14, 2016 at his home. He was born in Aberdeen, MD to Bayes Franklin and Inez Rachel (Irwin) Wood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed, for 34 years, with Baltimore Gas and Electric Company. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, all outdoor activities, and could fix or build just about anything.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Patricia Ross Wood; his children, Christine Wood-Fitchwell and husband, Craig, Kimberly Wood, step-children, Peggy Glassman and husband, Carl, and Perry Budd; his siblings, Arthur Wood, Dorothea Barnes and Mary Monk; his grandchildren, Jeremy and Michele; step-grandchildren, Tara, Ryan, Joslyn and Elyssa; and Buddy, his faithful 4-legged friend. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Oscar Wood; his sister, Joyce Bryant; and his step-daughter, Cathy Budd.
