Frank B. Whelan Jr.

Francis Bernard Whelan Jr. of Joppatowne, MD, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2014 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Carolyn; his children, Rebecca Seipp and husband Steve, Francis Bernard Whelan III and his wife, Christy, Sarah Walsh and husband, James. He is also the grandfather of Kevin, Eric, Natalie, Luke, Julia, Jack, Olivia and Bella. Francis is also survived by his sister, Patricia Barrett and husband, Bill, and their daughters, Elizabeth Barrett-Forand and husband, Doug, and Joan Barrett. He is also survived by his brother, Terrence Whelan. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Lever Brothers, Inc. in Baltimore. He loved history, listening to Patsy Cline, playing with his grandchildren and was an avid Orioles fan. He will be greatly missed.
