Elva Scalf

Elva Scalf, age 88, of Abingdon, MD passed away on June 10, 2017 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was one of thirteen children of Frank W. and Lena C. (Shipley) Koester and wife, for 16 years, of the late Irby Scalf. Her family meant everything to her, and she gave up her life in Tennessee to move to Maryland to help her daughter-in-law Beverly.

Mrs. Scalf is survived by her sons, Gary L. Stone and wife, Beverly, of Abingdon, Craig E. Stone and wife, Francine, of Jacksonville, FL and David E. Stone and wife, Patricia, of Apopka, FL; grandchildren, Janet A. Corcoran of Orlando, FL, Christopher M. Stone of Abingdon, Matthew T. Stone of Kuwait, Melissa A. and Michael T. Matousek both of Abingdon; great grandchildren, Dylan A. and Ciara R. Corcoran of Orlando, FL, Eli J. Slagle, Ella H. Stone and Parker Stone all of Abingdon.
