Elmer ''Bud'' J. Carnes

On August 17, 2009, Elmer "Bud" J. Carnes passed away. Mr. Carnes, beloved husband of his late wife Sophie, is survived by his loving daughter, Patricia S. and his beloved "son", Frank L. Mattes, his grandchildren, Frank J. , Michael P. and Tanya (Pavlitsa) Mattes, great-grandfather of Frank J, Jr, Michael E. and Alex P. Mattes. He is also survived by a very special friend, Gladys Gruszczynski

Mr. Carnes, age 85, retired as a Lieutenant from the Baltimore City Police Department after 29 years of service. He was a member of various organizations which included, FOP Lodge #3, Baltimore Retired Police Assoc., Boumi Temple, Provost Guard, Mt. Ararat Masonic Lodge, Moose Lodge and VFW.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, P O Box 50 Memphis TN 38101-9929 in Mr. E. J. Carnes name.
