Elizabeth Emma Sulkowski

January 22, 1923 — August 15, 2007

ELIZABETH EMMA SULKOWSKI, age 84, of Abingdon, MD, died on August 15, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Canonsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Lenhart and Anna Mary Blakensop Malone and wife of the late Henry Raymond Sulkowski. She had worked at Bell Telephone where she was an operator. She was a ceramics instructor, loved cats and enjoyed collecting stamps. A fifty year member of Norwood Harrington Chapter # 356 Order of the Eastern Star in Pittsburg, PA, she was also a member of the Social Order of the Beauceant of Assembly # 57 in Steubenville, OH. A member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church for several years, she loved spending time with her family and they always came first.

Mrs. Sulkowski is survived by a son, Henry Eugene Sulkowski and his wife, Margaret, of Bel Air, MD; a daughter, Sandra Gilbert of Abingdon, MD; one sister, Mary Jane Sulkowski and her husband Col. Ret. M.A. Sulkowski of Huntsville, AL; two grandchildren, Dr. David Francis Sulkowski and his wife, Dr. Kathy Sulkowski, of Tacoma, WA, and Melissa E. Sheme of Abingdon, MD; granddaughter-in-law, Kelly Berezuk Sulkowski of Bel Air, MD; and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Dennis Henry Sulkowski.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Christ Our King Presbyterian Church, 10 Lexington Road, Bel Air, MD 21014 or to the American Diabetes Association, 800 Wyman Park Drive, Suite 110, Baltimore, MD 21211.
