Dr. Ralph A. Bram

Dr. Ralph A. Bram, age 85, of Belcamp, MD passed away on August 24, 2018 at his home. Born in Washington, DC in 1932, he was the son of Walter and Frieda (Schertenleib) Bram, who emigrated from Switzerland to the U.S.A. via entry point Ellis Island in their 20s. He was the loving husband of 57 years to the late Antoinette Marie (Houck) Bram. Dr. Bram’s professional career spread for over 40 years, first as veteran, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an Entomologist, for the U.S. Department of Agriculture specializing in tick borne diseases, served as a Professor at University of Maryland and Perdue University and also worked at the Smithsonian Institute. He was a published author/editor of many scientific journals in Entomology and gardening. He was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Father in Law, Brother in Law and uncle. He was an extensive traveler in both his professional and private life and mostly enjoyed traveling with his wife, Toni. He had an appreciation for art and watercolor. He was a consummate gentleman and friend to all.

Dr. Bram is survived by son, Timothy R. Bram (Kiersten M. Bram); three daughters, Regina R. Bram Howard (Terri L. Hett), Simone A. Moran (Timothy J. Moran) and Jennifer M. Ward; seven grandchildren, William Howard, Zachary Howard, Austin Moran, Tyler Moran, Jacob Bram, Marisa Bram and Molly Ward; and three great grandchildren, Mason Howard, Wesley Howard, and Holden Howard. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter Bram.
