Douglas Holmes Arnold

April 1, 1959 — April 16, 2022

Douglas Holmes Arnold, 63, of Street Maryland passed away on April 16, 2022 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill Maryland. He was the son of Harold Henry and June Kathleen (Holmes) Arnold of Harford County, Md.


Doug is survived by two children.  His son Chad Douglas Arnold of Street Maryland and his girlfriend Stephanie Lynn Salvo and grandchildren Adalynn and Ashton Sydiskis. His daughter, Shannon Noel Arnold along with their mother Rhonda Marcel (Coleman) Arnold of Forest Hill, Maryland.


He is also survived by his brothers, Reannon Arnold of Street Maryland and Gary Arnold and his wife Judy of Fawn Grove PA.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Knopp.


Doug graduated from North Harford High School class of 1977. He worked since graduation in the construction field as a general contractor. Doug was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, kayaking and other outdoor activities. He had a passion for antique tractors, guns, knives and antiques collectibles and family heirlooms.  Doug loved going to antique tractor shows and pulls, gun shows, wildlife banquets and cookouts. Doug enjoyed spending his free time with all his close friends and relatives.  Doug could always be counted on to lend a hand or help wherever he could.  He was always smiling and joking.  He was well known for his hard work ethics and broad knowledge in many different areas.  He always had a good story to tell.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Senator Bob Hooper House, 2007 Klein Plaza Drive, Forest Hill, Maryland 21050 or The Citizens Volunteer Fire Company, 171 S. Market Street Fawn Grove, PA 17321 in honor of Fawn Grove Olde Tyme Days.
