Dorothy E. Moyer

Dorothy E. Moyer, age 96, of Perryman, Maryland passed away on January 29, 2019 at Dacota Paradise Assisted Living in Aberdeen, MD. Born in Perryman, she was the daughter of J. Frederick McFadden and Ethel Frances (Fleming) McFadden and wife of the late George Theodore Moyer. A lifelong member of Cranberry United Methodist Church, she sang in the choir for over 60 years. She was the former President of the United Methodist Women and had served as a Chaplain of the Golden Age at the Aberdeen Senior Center. She worked as a post office clerk in Perryman for 31 years, and enjoyed watching golf and gameshows, doing crossword puzzles, and collecting miniature beagle figurines and travel magnets.

Mrs. Moyer is survived by daughter, Janet E. Mendoza (Amable); son, Philip G. Moyer (Margie); grandchildren, Julie E. Droski (Mike), Ronaldo J. Mendoza (Leah), and April Shannon (Matt); great-granddaughter, Brittany; and three great-grandsons, Jacob, Jarrett, and Kyle.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles McFadden and Leroy McFadden.
