Donald Ralph Smith

Donald Ralph Smith, age 72, of Joppa Maryland left our presence to be with God and his wife Victoria on January 24, 2023. Donald was born in Harford County, son to Ralph and Myrtle, and brother to Linda and Gary. He proudly served our country traveling all over the world as a member of the U.S. Navy.

Donald was a faithful and devoted husband to his wife Vickie. They loved each other unconditionally and selflessly and were married for forty-six years. He missed her every single day for the past three years and he has finally found his peace and joy after reuniting with her in Heaven.

Donald was also a caring father and loving grandfather. He is survived by his son, Matthew, his daughter-in-law Lori, and his two little granddaughters Ellie and Nicole. Pop Pop's favorite thing on earth was his granddaughters and they will miss all his love and their weekly pancake breakfasts with him. Other loving, caring, and supporting family members surviving Donald are his sister Linda, his brother Gary, and his sister-in-law Nancy Faul.

Donald was blessed to have John and Debbie Tripp and Tim and Cindy Jackson as very special friends and neighbors. Throughout several decades they provided each other support, kindness, and love.

Also of special note is Donald's pastor, Pastor Craig Mele of Maple View Baptist Church. Pastor Craig developed a special relationship with Donald, he brought him to Jesus and baptized him in March 2021. Because of Donald's profession of faith and commitment, we can all be sure that Donald is in Heaven today. We will all miss you dad, but are comforted because you are back with mom.
