Debra "Debi" Lynn Greer

April 16, 1963 — March 29, 2022

Debra "Debi" Lynn Greer, age 58, of Darlington, Maryland passed away on March 29, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of Harry Gilbert and the late Shirley (Garecht) Gilbert and loving wife of Bruce Allen Greer. When her boys were growing up, Debi was an avid bowler in addition to being a youth bowling coach and running a travel bowling league. In the past, she would host car shows to raise money for multiple charities and she enjoyed spending time with her car crew friends including many cruising weekends. Debi was affectionately known as “Momma D” by her close friends and family. She loved crafting and cooking for all who stepped through her door. Her house was always open, and she enjoyed serving others any chance she got. Camping weekends and spending quality time with her family was among her favorite things to do. She also had a love for rescue dogs, holding a special place in her heart for her latest furry friend, her sweet dog Millie. Debi was a fighter, and she fought her hardest during the past three years. She had an incredibly infectious positivity and will be missed by so many.  Of all the titles and names Debi went by she was most proud to share with the world that she was a new Gammie.

Debra is survived by her husband Bruce Greer; two sons, Brandon Michael Taylor, and Eric (Jamie) Benjamin Greer; grandson, Ace Benjamin Greer; two brothers, Daniel (Donna) Gilbert, and Michael (Fran) Gilbert; a sister Shelby Williams and her late husband Lester, and sister-in-law Belinda (Dave) Workman. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, close friends, and other family members.

A memorial service will be held under the care of the family at Emory United Methodist Church, Street, Maryland on Saturday, April 02, 2022, at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kaufman Cancer Center, 500 Upper Chesapeake Drive, Bel Air, MD 21014.
