David L. Kraus

David L. Kraus, 64, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on March 20, 2015 at his home. Born in Trenton, NJ, he is the son of the late Jacob Joseph and Elizabeth Marie Wiessmann Kraus. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served our country during the Vietnam Conflict. He served as a police officer on the Lawrence Township Police Department, where he retired after 12 years of service. He went on to work in the fraud division for several insurance companies. Dave was a volunteer for Slackwood Fire Company in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Lawrence Township First Aid Squad, a Past Master of Stephenson Lodge #135 AF&AM in Darlington, MD and a member of the William C Eggert Jr. / Lawrence Township FOP Lodge #209 in Lawrenceville, NJ. He enjoyed golfing, baking and spending time with family and friends. He was a fun-loving, generous man who was always willing to help.

Dave Kraus is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet C. Steinouer Kraus; daughters, Katherine Moore and husband, JD, of Pennington, NJ, Jodi Kraus and partner, Liz Hull of Rosedale, MD and Patricia Taylor and husband, Jeff, of Ellicott City, MD; twin brother, Dennis F. Kraus and wife, Vickie, of Mason, OH; sister, Mary Ellen Everitt of Lawrenceville, NJ; grandchildren, Emma Moore, Samantha Taylor and Keira Taylor; as well as many adored friends.
