Daniel Morrison

Daniel Morrison, age 88, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on May 22, 2022.  Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late William and Catherine (Nicholson) Morrison.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (McGinnis) Morrison. Dan treasured his family above all else. His favorite hobby was being anywhere his grandchildren were -- whether it was on the sideline of a game, in an auditorium, or just watching them play. Dan modeled the meaning of true love in the way he loved his wife. Dan's presence was the best gift he gave to his family, and he will be dearly missed.  

Dan was a most excellent handyman and could fix anything. Dan worked as a trade machinist for over 50 years before retiring. After his grandchildren were grown, Dan returned to the workforce in the Walmart produce department for five years, setting a strong example with his steadfast work ethic for his coworkers, many years his junior.  Dan was a proud U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by his two sons, Fred Mullins Jr (Jill), Dan Morrison (Beth); two daughters, Debbie Mullins and Christy Etchison (Carlton), as well as 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his sister, Dottie Mallette and brother, Donald Morrison.
