Daniel James Gomes

Daniel James Gomes, age 90, of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on April 12, 2019 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Middletown, RI, he was the son of the late James and Anna (Faria) Gomes and husband of 63 years to the late Linda Yong Gomes. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during the Korean War earning a Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion in Havre de Grace and the VFW Lodge Abingdon Post 14000. He also was a school bus driver.

Mr. Gomes is survived by his daughter, Patti Preston (James) of Delta, PA; grandson, J.D. Preston (Valarie); great grandson Brantley Preston; step grandsons, Jin Kim (Nayoung) and Min Kim; step-granddaughter, Soyoung Kim; and 4 step great-grandchildren.
