Clinton Bratton

August 19, 1945 — December 15, 2003

CLINTON BRATTON, 58, of Bel Air, died at his home of complications of lung cancer, on December 15, 2003. Born in Churchville, he was the son of the late Raby James Bratton and the late Elsie Stella Smith Wright. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he had worked with horses all his life. He was a race horse trainer at Ayres Fountain Spring Farm, Boniface Bonita Farm and Hopkins Elberton Hill Farm. He was currently stabled at Pimlico.

Mr. Bratton is survived by his wife of 31 years, Virginia Ann Billings Bratton; two sons, James Paul Bratton of Edgewood and Christopher Ray Bratton of Bel Air; a daughter, Dawn Michelle Carr of Abingdon; three brothers, Ralph Bratton of Bel Air, James Bratton of Bel Air and Gerald Bratton of Baltimore; four sisters, Peggy Parsons of Edgewood, Ruby Gaddis of Street, Betty Kirk of Edgewood, and Joyce Hooker of Abingdon; and four grandchildren, Nicholas Bratton, Keaton Bratton, Caleb Bratton and Morgan Carr. He was predeceased by a son, Travis Aaron Bratton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Clinton Bratton Memorial Fund, c/o M&T Bank, 1 Boxridge Dr., Abingdon, MD 21009.
