Cleola Virginia Johnson

CLEOLA VIRGINIA JOHNSON, age 88, of Aberdeen, MD, died on December 3, 2007 at Sunbridge Care Center in Elkton, MD. Born in Salisbury, MD, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Emma Jester and wife of the late Carrol “Carl” Luther Johnson. She attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with her husband until the time of his death. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post # 6054 in Aberdeen and had worked at the VA Hospital in Baltimore, where she was a custodian. A hardworking mother, she was devoted to her family.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by a son, Carl “Curly” Johnson Jr. of Port Deposit, MD; one daughter, Cleola V. Johnson of Aberdeen, MD; a brother, George Jester of Salisbury, MD; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, James “Snook” Melvin Johnson, Charles “Charlie” William Johnson; and five brothers and sisters.
