Cleo L. Smith

CLEO L. SMITH, age 89, of Washington, D.C., died on January 13, 2007, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, She was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Carrie Louise Hockaday Boone. A Harford County resident for 15 years, she was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, including the Keenagers Group and the Ladies Bible Study Group. She enjoyed writing poetry.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Robert C. Fletcher of Silver Spring, MD, and David B. Fletcher and his wife, Ethel, of Fort Washington, MD; one daughter, Carolyn C. Mathews of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, Michael Anthony Carter of Washington, D.C., Kellie Lynn Carter of Washington, D.C., Lance Fletcher of Silver Spring, MD, and Kristina Jews of Fort Washington, MD; eight great grandchildren, Danielle Carter of New York, Kettie Springate of New York, Vernon Carter of Washington, D.C., Nikki Britt of Washington, D.C., Jordan Britt of Washington, D.C., Joshua Britt of Washington, D.C., Kristopher Jews of Fort Washington, MD, and Amber Lynn Fletcher of Silver Spring, MD; and one great great grandchild, Ketyra Chambers of New York.

Pallbearers will be Robert Fletcher, David Fletcher, Michael Carter, Lance Fletcher, Vernon Carter, and Curtis Jews.
