Clara Prokop

Clara Prokop, age 89, of Bel Air, MD passed away on October 20, 2018 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Vysny Slavkov, Slovakia in 1929, she was the daughter of Pavel and Maria (Kolackovsky) Popovich and the wife of the late Alois Prokop. Clara immigrated to America at the age of 17 and married her husband on May 29, 1954 in Jersey City, NJ. A homemaker, she was a fervent Christian and believed her home was in heaven. She enjoyed Slovakian Folk dancing, was an exceptional ballroom dancer, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was a great cook and baker. She enjoyed being around people.

Mrs. Prokop is survived by three sons, Mark Prokop of Bel Air, MD, Robert Prokop of Vienna, Austria, and Paul Prokop of Boonton Twp., NJ; and two grandchildren, Tea and Dalton.
