Clara Lorrene Akers

Clara Lorrene Akers, age 73, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 29, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Abingdon, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Garfield and Nancy Catherine Isom Haga. She worked, for 25 years, as a Certified Nurses Aid and was a member of the Spirit of Mercy Fellowship. She was very active in her church and loved by all and also worked along with her husband in the ministry field. She loved flowers and listening to Gospel music.

Mrs. Akers is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bobby James Akers Sr. of Bel Air, MD; sons, Leon Adkins, Eric, David, and Daniel Sivers, and Bobby James Akers Jr.; daughter, Michele Akers-Williams; brother, Command Sgt. Major (Ret.) Robert L. Haga; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Foye L., Sebert D., Wayne W., Arnold R., Neal C., and Howard J. Haga; and sister, Shirley R. Haga Hotchkiss.
