Charles K. Teryek

Charles K. Teryek, age 84, of Joppa, MD, died on May 9, 2011 at his home. Born in Charleston, Staten Island, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Julianna Nagy Teryek. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during WWII. He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Bradshaw where he served as an usher, and also a member of the American Legion Post in Edgewood. He enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter and going to the beach, and taking care of his car.

Mr. Teryek is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ellen Grant Teryek of Joppa, MD; son, Robert C. Teryek of Staten Island, NY; brother, Alexander Teryek of Clarksdon, MI; sisters, Margaret Kish of Staten Island, NY and Helen Lovasz of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Alexandria and Anna Teryek of Staten Island, NY; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepson, Dennis L. Trice and daughter, Joann Schick.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Poole, Rich Wilson, Allen Reno, Robert Grant Sr., Chuck Grant, and Richard Redding.
