Calvin D. Harris Sr.

October 17, 1946 — May 1, 2021

Calvin D. Harris Sr., age 74, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on May 1, 2021 at his home. Born October 17, 1946 in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He was the son of the late John Henry Peaker and Georgianna Harris-Peaker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during the Vietnam War from 1968-1971. He retired as a Maintenance Supervisor at Fallston General Hospital.

Calvin LOVED spending time with his family and friends: Singing on the John Wesley Church Choir, Sun God games on the hospital field, Camping trips w/roasted shoes, Fishing trips with the fellas, and Wild World Adventures. Whenever he was needed, he was there...you remember “Unc” over the grease for those Church fish fries, right?!!

As a former member of the Bandoleros Motorcycle Club and member of Cobra Riders II Motorcycle Club rides ending up @ The Legion were a given. Did we mention he was Past Post Commander of American Legion Post 55.

BUT WE ALL know the best times came from those GHILL cookouts...IF IT WAS ALL NIGHT IT WAS ALL RIGHT!!!

Calvin is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lena Eugenia Harris; children, Portia Rayichele Harris, Calvin Douglas Harris Jr, and Candace Denise Harris; grandchildren, Damion Malik Harris, Jada Reign Harris Helmcamp, Ariana Marina Harris, Alexis Miranda Harris, Eamon Paris Reliford, Aiden Michael Noel Harris, and Phaenyx Erihyan Reliford; great grandchildren, Nevaeh Azalea Fisher, Kyden Tru McCrimmon, and Haisley Mae Harris; siblings, Richard Harris (and wife Shirley), Philip Harris (and wife Alma), Alice Walker, Mildred Norton, Frances Lee (and husband Earl), Anna Mae Davis, Helen Joyce Waldon, Janice Demby, and Vera Davis; sister-in law Geraldine Davis (and husband Edgar Sr.) along with a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings; Edna Harris, Doris Bailey, John Harris and Paul Harris.

HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED!!!
