Bruce E. Garner

Bruce E. Garner, age 67, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on December 20, 2014 at his home. Born in Quincy, MA, he was the son of the late Alfred Bruce Garner and Mary Grazioso Garner. Due to the death of Mary, Bruce at the age of 4 was blessed by the marriage of Daddy Tom to Mama Rose, who became the mother he knew and loved. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a successful businessman who, for 30 years, owned and operated Bayside Homes. He was an exceptional family man who loved nothing more than his family. He loved his friends, his country and he was devoted to the town of Aberdeen for which he did everything he possibly could to make it a better place. He also loved to hunt and fish and was known for his integrity and for being kind and generous.

Mr. Garner is survived by his wife, Joanne Sills Garner; son, A. Bruce Garner II of Wilmington, NC; daughters, Lisa M. Keatts and husband, Robert, of Fredericksburg, VA, Amy R. Lindecamp and husband, Tim, of Aberdeen and Jennifer A. Garner-Meehan and husband, John, of Perryville; brothers, Gerry Garner and wife, Ann, of Morehead City, NC and Ronnie Garner and wife, Loretta, of Newport, NC; sister, Gail M. Guthrie and husband, David, of Newport, NC; and ten grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Emily, Troy, Heather, Seth, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Katie and Quintin.
