Betty L. Phillips

Betty L. Phillips, age 78, of Edgewood, MD, died on May 17, 2011 at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Fairlea, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gailey Stanford and Annie Lee Hannah Allen, and wife of the late Gordon Dean Phillips Sr. who passed away in 1993. She was employed as a telephone operator at C&P Telephone Company for Edgewood and Bel Air, and also worked at Thompson Toyota, formerly Brown's Toyota. She bowled ten pins for years, and liked to go out with her best friend, Mariko. They enjoyed shopping trips, bingo, and eating out. She was also a very loving and supportive aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her son, Dean Phillips and his fiancée, Stephanie Sayers, of Port Deposit, MD; daughter, Trina L. Rash and her husband, Paul, of Strausburg, VA; grandchildren, Susan Baker, Paul Rash II, and Anna Bockey; and great-grandchildren, Tyler L. Meadows, Jacob Rash, Antonio Baker, and Colin Baker. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her son, Jeffrey W. Allen; five brothers; and five sisters.
