Audrey Jean Morrison

Audrey Jean Morrison, age 82, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on March 1, 2023 at her home of 50 years. Born in Street MD, she was the daughter of Jennings and Elsie (Webb) Scarborough and beloved wife of the late Maynard E. Morrison Jr. She graduated from North Harford high school and loved to go to the reunions and stayed in touch with many friends. She was Miss Maryland Majorette her senior year and was a Redskinette for a short while. She happily stayed home to raise her children and then received her interior design degree. After working with some major design firms, she eventually opened her own business.

She was a lifetime member of Dublin United Methodist Church, as were her parents, and a lifetime member of the Maryland Golf and Country Club, where she met some wonderful friends who would come to be known as the “beach ladies”. They continued this friendship throughout their lives and have shared so many wonderful times and laughs. Her greatest love was her family and their special place on Broad Creek, which her father and mother built back in the early 1950’s. She was one of the first people to ski on the lake - and the skis were homemade. Over the years wonderful memories and friends were made and she taught many people to ski and love life on the lake. She continued to be adventurous her entire life and would try anything. She wanted very much to be remembered for being kind - and she most definitely will be and so much more.

Audrey is survived by her daughter Terri (Larry) Jones; son, Scott (Paula) Morrison; grandchildren, Rhia Morrison and Brendan Morrison (fiancée Ruth Wang); niece, Edie (Breaux) Walker; nephew, Geoffrey (Cathy) Silver; sister-in-law, Mary Scarborough; and many others who fondly called her Nana and Aunt Audrey and numerous loved ones she considered family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel (Wistar) Silver, brother, Jennings Kelly Scarborough, and dear friend Charles Vickers.
