Anna M. Yanney

Anna M. Yanney, age 97, of Havre de Grace, MD passed away Monday, November 22 2021. Anna was the daughter of the late Luigi and Salvadora (Cira) Zappacosta and wife of the late Paul Joseph Yanney, Sr., in addition to the mother of 6 boisterous sons and daughters. After retiring from Baltimore County Public Schools and moving to Havre de Grace, MD, she began volunteering at Citizens Nursing Home until she was 95 years old where she was awarded “Volunteer of the Year”. Anna was also a member of The Young at Heart Club in Havre de Grace, MD and a volunteer with Black Dogs & Company Rescue. Among the activities Anna enjoyed were attending church services, volunteering, travel, shopping and playing cards and bingo.

Anna is survived by her children, Paul Yanney, Larry Yanney, Theresa Fielder, Chuck Yanney, Patty Cox and David Yanney; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren, plus brother’s Paul and Sam Costa.

In addition to her parents and husband, Anna is predeceased by her grandson, Luke Yanney.
