Andrew "Donald" Politowicz

March 24, 1949 — January 19, 2022

Andrew Donald” Politowicz, age 72, of Churchville, Maryland passed away on January 19, 2022 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, Maryland.  Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Andrew Joseph Politowicz and Ida Mae (Wooten) Cislak. Predeceased by his parents, sister, Anna (Politowicz) Kucharski and brother, Jerome F. Politowicz.

Donald worked in construction and trucking during his career.  He helped build many of the roads and bridges in the greater Baltimore area.  Later in his career he used many of those very same roads as a truck driver.  He retired in 2014.

He was a very loving, devoted and caring husband, son, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  Anyone who knew him knew he loved his wife.  He and his father maintained a very close relationship throughout his fathers life.  He was extremely proud of his two sons and maintained a close relationship with them.  He cherished his time with his grandchildren and loved to go to the movies, the circus, and Hershey Park with them.

He enjoyed life. He loved to spoil everyone with candy.  He enjoyed going to flea markets, deer watching, and collecting just about everything.  In his younger days he liked to fish and hunt. Many knew him by names like “The Turtle Man” and “The Pigeon Man.”

Donald is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances Linda” (Ward) Politowicz, two sons, Lawrence Michael Politowicz (Erin) and Timothy Joel Politowicz (Leigh Anne), eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
