Andrea Elizabeth Kipp

Andrea Kipp, 76, of Joppa, Md., formerly of Scotch Plains, died Wednesday, Dec. 28 at her home after a brief illness.

Born in Freeport, N.Y., she grew up in Rockville Centre, N.Y., and later lived in Killeen, Texas; Newark, N.J.; Fanwood, N.J.; Scotch Plains, N.J.; Barefoot Bay, Fla.; Viera, Fla.; and Maryland, where she lived the last 11 years.

She attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was a skilled artist and painter. She worked as a production artist in business with her husband, Glenn, at their businesses, KIPPRODUCTIONS and The Barefoot Tattler, a local newspaper they published in Florida. She was also employed in the registrar's office at Drew University and at Countryside Curtains in Scotch Plains. She was active in the United Family and Children's Society of Plainfield, N.J., for whom she produced the PUFS newsletter.

She was the founder of the Forest View Book Club. She spent the later years of her life painting portraits, landscapes and scenic panoramas. She especially loved working on paintings of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Harford Artists Association, Inc. in BelAir, Md., where she exhibited and sold her work.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Glenn; a son, Guy; a daughter, Amy; her brother, W. Brian Bush; and seven grandchildren: Elizabeth, Emily, Matt, Julianna, Andy, Lauren and Joseph.

Plans for a memorial service are pending.
