Alma Lois Meadows Hicks

Alma Lois Meadows Hicks, age 91, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on December 28, 2021. Born in Huntington, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Marvin and Pearl (Lucas) Meadows and wife of the late Orville Hicks. She was a hard worker, she started working at the age of 14 and retired when she was 76, working for the Federal Government, Ikea, MVA and Kmart during her career. She loved her God, her family and was a very devoted mother. She was a Charter member of Town Baptist Church, loved music and used to play the piano and sing in the choir there. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was also a member of The Rebekahs.     

Alma is survived by her sons, Jerry L. Hicks of Aurora, CO and Paul S. Hicks (Diane) of Elkridge; daughter, Debra A. Clark (John) of Edgewood; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 1 that is due in June; and many loving nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
