Allen Junior Crouse

ALLEN JUNIOR CROUSE, age 75, of Aberdeen, died at his home on September 21, 2005. Born in Sparta, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Thomas Allen Crouse and the late Nora Combs Holloway. He was a logger all his life, a job he enjoyed. He also worked for Harford Metal and Bata Shoe Company. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. Church was a big part of his life. He loved his family.

Mr. Crouse is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gwendolyn M. Gentry Crouse; two sons, Daniel Crouse of Abingdon and Richard Crouse of Belcamp; six daughters, Belinda Maxfield of Aberdeen, Cathy Mayer of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Judy Gilbert of Abingdon, Sandra Porter of Conowingo, Donna Thompson of Aberdeen, and Lisa Brown of Belcamp; two brothers, Clarence Crouse and Lewis Holloway, both of Sparta, North Carolina; four sisters, Ruby Royal of Aberdeen, Delma Mahan of Sparta, North Carolina, Betty McKinney of Hillsville, Virginia, and Louise Holloway of Aberdeen; 15 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers.

Pallbearers will be: Ritchie Maxfield, Jr., Frank A. Porter, Michael Holston, Timothy Grose, Chad Porter, and Tyler Brown.
