Melvin F. Crouse

Melvin F. Crouse, age 84, of Darlington, MD passed away on May 23, 2018 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Street, MD, he was the son of William Franklin and Docia Ellen (Caudill) Crouse and was the husband of the late E. Kathleen Crouse (nee Shepherd) whom he loved fiercely. He was a member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church where he had served as an usher. He enjoyed camping, gardening, attending church, and spending time outside. He cared for his family and extended family and had fostered many children during his life. In his younger years, he attended NASCAR races and ball games. He was a sports fan and car enthusiast, and had an excellent sense of humor. He was very proud to be the baby of 16 siblings. His only surviving brother is Herbert Crouse of Abingdon.

In addition to his brother, Mr. Crouse is survived by two sons, Thomas F. Crouse of Fallston, and Phillip L. Crouse of Thomasville, PA; daughter, Shirley M. Byington of Darlington; granddaughter, Jennifer Webster; grandsons, Timothy Byington, Phillip Crouse, Jr., Zachary Crouse and Caleb Crouse; three great-granddaughters, Taylor Webster, Madison Webster and Lilya Crouse.
